As we age, our bodies decide to hit the pause button on our skin's collagen production, which leads to the not-so-fun side effects like wrinkles and saggy skin.

Aging gracefully isn't always about embracing every wrinkle or line that shows up uninvited. We've all been there, right? That moment when we realize our skin's collagen production is taking a chill pill, leaving us with those not-so-fun companions: wrinkles and saggy skin. But fear not, as I've stumbled upon a game-changer that's become a part of my skincare routine—let me introduce you to the NIRA Precision and NIRA Pro Laser for at-home use.

Fighting Aging Signs with Cutting-Edge Laser Tech

NIRA's non-fractional, non-ablative laser tech is like a secret weapon against aging. This magical wand gently warms the deeper layers of your skin, jump-starting collagen production without any pain or downtime.

With consistent use, this bad girl helps build collagen, bidding farewell to fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and other skin blemishes. Say hello to firmer skin, brighter spots, and fewer broken capillaries.

The Background on At-Home Devices

The world of at-home skincare devices is exploding, and it's a great thing!

From LED masks and hand helds to cryotherapy treatments (BRRRR), the options are vast. Enter the NIRA Pro Laser, stealing the show with its clinical validation in reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It's a cutting-edge at-home laser that's causing quite a stir.

Ablative vs. Non-Ablative Lasers: What's the Difference?

In the laser skincare realm, there are two main categories: ablative and non-ablative.

While ablative lasers strip away the top skin layer, non-ablative lasers cozy up with the deeper layers, heating things up. Traditionally, these treatments were salon-exclusive, but the NIRA Pro Laser flips the script, offering a transformative experience within the comfort of your home.

The NIRA Pro Experience: Compact, User-Friendly, and Effective

This compact beauty device might seem small, but it's a powerhouse when it comes to delivering lasting results. Don't let its size fool you—it's user-friendly even for those of us with not-so-steady hands (guilty!). It operates on non-ablative, non-fractional technology, gently coaxing your skin cells into producing more collagen over time.

It's A Long Game

This little marvel relies on NON-ablative (no skin peeling), non-fractional technology that's like a gentle nudge to your skin cells, coaxing them into cranking up collagen production. It won't give you that instant glow, as if you just had a facial, but if you stick with it, the NIRA Pro is designed to gradually smooth those lines and rejuvenate your skin.

NIRA is so confident about it that they offer a 90-day money-back guarantee.

But remember, it's a long game. You have to use it on a consistent regular basis to begin seeing results, and though NIRA is confident you will see results in 90 day, you may not. It may take longer.

So take photos!

It can be subtle. And it can take longer. But guess what...where collagen is being built, less signs of aging are happening.

Of course, I've been testing these claims myself.

Why I'm Sold on It

OMG, I love at-home beauty gadgets.

I have a stockpile of them that I actually use on the reg. I actually have a basket with my beauty devices in it so each evening when I sit down to watch Only Murders In The Building, I pull out my toys, err...tools.

So, when NIRA reached out to me and inquired if I wanted to test it out and share the results, I initially said no. I'd been working with LIghtStim Red Light Hand Held and I felt it would be a conflict, not to mention confusing.

What I learned is that NIRA and the LIghtStim go hand in hand.

For example NIRA is perfect precision tool for the small area around the eyes and the LightStim covers larger swatches of skin. LightStim is red light, NIRA is infrared.

I've been through my fair share of in-office non-ablative, non-fractionated laser sessions, so I've got a pretty good handle on what the whole experience should feel like and what kind of results to expect. However, when it comes to the at-home market, it's like stepping into uncharted waters.

As far as I understand, apart from the LYMA laser, which costs a whopping four+ times more, (I. just. can't.) there isn't really anything else out there that's quite on par.

When I began using the NIRA, I first assed how to use it, as streamlined as it is, it can be a tad intimidating. I turned it on and gave it a test run on my skin to gauge how much heat I could handle. After some trial and error, I settled on level three – it was toasty, but not "I'm-about-to-burst-into-flames" hot, if you know what I mean. I've since moved all the way up to full power at 5 and it feels comfortable.

I say, Bring it!

I paid attention to the beeping sounds (it beeps once when it touches the skin and again when the area's done), and then I got down to business, initially focusing on the area around my eyes. Let's be real here: In my 60's, loss of collagen and I are close buddies.  Now, of course, because one thing leads to another, I cover a lot more ground.

It took no more than two minutes. OK, that was promising.

I began incorporating the new habit of doing it every morning, on clean skin, just after my warm lemon water and before my mushroom coffee.

It's so easy to incorporate into your day.

Now, I've moved into two rounds every morning. You don't have to do that. It just gives quicker results. If you do, be sure to wait at least 5 minutes between sessions, and no more than twice in one day, please.

Tracking Progress: A Work in Progress

Taking photos of the progress is a challenge for me, but I'm determined to capture the change monthly.

In the meantime, I'll share photos from others who've successfully tracked their progress. Let's embrace the journey towards healthier, happier skin together!

There you have it—my experience with the NIRA Pro Laser. It's an ongoing experiment, but the potential for improved skin is exciting. If you're considering trying it, remember: patience and consistency are your best friends in this journey to rejuvenated skin. Cheers to embracing age with grace and glowing skin!
