Mineral Powder Eyeliner - Alternative to Traditional Eyeliner (with Video)

Mineral Powder Eyeliners are a fabulous, fun, and easy addition to any makeup collection and can be used to complement and add interest to nearly any look.
With such a wide range of colors and even multiple straightforward and simple application methods, there really is a mineral liner for everyone and every style.
The Right Tools
You are going to need a good brush.
Because we love options here at Simple Beauty Minerals, we offer two great choices for mineral liner application. The Fine Angle Brush is a great option for those of you who are used to using an angled brush with a clean line for eyeliner application. It is also best suited for creating a cat eye effect/winged eyeliner. Another option is the Fine Point Eyeliner Brush which works well for placing a soft fine line close to your lashes. Both are easy to use, and produce beautiful eyeliner applications– so, in the end, it comes down to your own personal preference and which style suits your needs best.
Benefits of a Mineral Powder
Now that you have your brush, let’s talk about the Mineral Liner. Mineral Liners are more heavily pigmented than regular mineral eyeshadows even though they look super similar, which means that they have increased longevity to help them last through all day wear and stay in place. This also helps them to create a dark, defined line when applied to your lid that won’t simply buff out of place like a regular mineral shadow might.
Wow! Look At All the Colors!
We are proud to offer an absolutely gorgeous range of colors from the classic Soft Black Mineral Liner all the way through to the fun, daring Teal Mineral Liner! Our Brown Mineral Liner is the perfect choice for days when you want added definition but perhaps not all the stark contrast and drama of a black eyeliner. The Smokey Plum Mineral Liner and Navy Mineral Liner are other fun options that add a little color while still keeping things fairly neutral. The Emerald Mineral Liner, Sterling Silver Mineral Liner, and Purple Black Mineral Liner are all fabulously fun options to wear all by themselves as a statement colored liner– or can double as super pigmented eyeshadows (as all of these liners can!). The options are endless, and oh-so-fun to play around with.
How To Apply
Loose Mineral Powder Liners can seem intimidating– especially if you have never used them before. They are actually incredibly forgiving when it comes to application, however, unlike the slightly more nerve-wracking gel and liquid liners where one little mistake means game over, and start over! As you practice learning how to apply, it can be helpful to start off with a simple dry application method. You will find that you can go as slowly as you need to, and you can easily brush off any mistakes as you go. This is a great way to get the hang of applying your eyeliner, and it also produces a beautiful softly smudged eyeliner look.
If you desire a cleaner line with more intensity, a wet application will provide a more pigmented and defined look.
