Multitasking Eye, Cheek and Lip Palette
Two natural makeup looks featuring 5 pigments!
For this look let's play with 5 colors of our multitasking eyeshadow pigments to create two natural makeup looks -- a warm shimmer look and a cool matte look. We will be using the following mineral eyeshadow shades:
Almond, Fawn, Simple Basics, Soft Touch, & Bliss
Eyes
1. Start with an eyeshadow base.
The first step is to use concealer to the entire eyelid as an eyeshadow base and under the eyes. Using mini fluff brush, pick up the mineral powder from the lid and tap off the excess. Apply the concealer from the base of the lashes to under the brow and the inside corner of the eye.
Tip: You can also use Perfect Cover Foundation or Sensy Rich Mineral Foundation as your eyeshadow base (or a neutral, natural eyeshadow color!)
2. Apply Almond as transition color
Using the Fluffy Angled Eyeshadow Brush, apply Almond Mineral Eyeshadow generously to the crease. This is helps to blend everything in and gives the look more depth.
3. Press in some color to the lids
Using the Eyeshading Brush, press in the color on the lid of the eye, all the way to the inner lid.
For Shimmer Look:
Use Fawn Mineral Eyeshadow, a warm, light brown, golden brown shimmer. A darker color like Fawn creates more depth of color.
For Matte Look:
Use Simple Basics Mineral Eyeshadow, a creamy beige color. This makes the lid pop a little bit more.
4. Work on your crease.
We'll use Soft Touch Mineral Eyeshadow for both the shimmer and matte looks. It's a very good neutral shade -- rosy brown with almost a purple cast to it.
Using a Crease and Smudge Eyeshadow Brush, first dot it on the crease to the corner of the outer eye for emphasis, and then blend with the window wiper effect.
TIP: If you have hooded eyes, you can cheat the crease by bringing the color up so that you can see the color when you open the eyes.
5. Highlight the eyebrow.
Using the eyeshading brush, apply Bliss (for shimmer look) or Simple Basics (for matte look) under the brow into the inner corner to open up the eye.
For Shimmer Look:
Use Bliss Mineral Eyeshadow, a rosy beige, similar to Simple Basics but it has shimmer and a little bit more rose blush.
For Matte Look:
Use Simple Basics.
6. Blend it all out.
Blend it all out with blender brush. Make sure there are no lines or patches.
7. Rim your lash line in a dark color.
Using Black Coffee Mineral Eyeliner Pencil, line under the eyes and a little bit on the outer corner. Give a little flick to lift the eyes up.
Smudge the line with Soft Touch using the crease brush and bring the line up.
TIP: If your eyeshadow is going down and you're not getting that illusion of lift, take some concealer or foundation and use a flat brush/concealer brush to erase anything that fell down a little bit.
Cheeks:
Using the Perfect Blush Brush, pick up some minerals and apply it as blush color.
Take a big fluffy brush to blend it out.
For Shimmer Look:
Use Fawn.
For Matte Look:
Use Almond.
Lips:
First line the lips with Adore Mineral Lip Liner.
Then, we'll use Blush Mineral Rich Lipstick.
Add a touch of Bliss or Fawn right in the middle of the lips for a little pop of sheen and brightness.
