Ahhhh....Hot Cocoa and winter go together like, well, Hot Cocoa Eyeshadow and Cocoa Rose Blush!

In this clean mineral makeup tutorial I'm going to showcase a warm and toasty neutral brown look.

Is there anything better than a warm mug of hot cocoa to cozy up with this time of year?

Well, there might be one thing– a mug of your favorite hot cocoa to sip on paired with one of our all-time favorite mineral eyeshadow neutrals, which just so happens to have the same namesake to match it’s rich, shimmery, chocolatey brown… and of course, that mineral eyeshadow is Simple Beauty Minerals’ very own Hot Cocoa!

Grab Your Cocoas

To show you how it’s done, I (obviously!) first made myself a nice big mug of my favorite hot chocolate (I like to mix up a tablespoon or so of my very favorite vegan-friendly hot cocoa mix with some warm almond milk or soy milk depending on what’s in our fridge!), and then I set to work.

To go along with the cocoa theme for this look I picked out Cocoa Rose as my blush.

I also chose our all year round  In The Buff Collection 'Optimist') for my highlight, and Deep Earth as my crease color to add in another shade of a deeper chocolatey brown.

I also grabbed my Eye Shading Brush and my Mini Fluff Brush, plus my Perfect Blush Brush and my spare Ultimate Kabuki Brush that I like to use for highlighting along with my regular range of face brushes to apply the foundation and concealer as the base for my look.

I simply swept Hot Cocoa all over my lid using the Eye Shading Brush, and then added Deep Earth in as my crease color using the Mini Fluff Brush (make sure to really blend this out so there are no harsh lines in between the two browns shades).

Last but not least I swept a little Candlelight onto my brow bone and into the inner corners of my eyes using a Mini Fluff Brush again.

And Your Cheeks

For my cheeks, I first swept on a layer of Candlelight as the highlight using my spare Ultimate Kabuki Brush (I like that this really packs on the highlight when I want a more dramatic glow!), then added a touch of Cocoa Rose to the apples of my cheeks making sure to really blend this out. I finished off with a touch of Candlelight over top once more to really seal in the highlight for my look.

You will love how the beautiful soft browns in this look are really highlighted with the gorgeous warm golden tones of Candlelight– it will definitely make you feel extra special and just a bit shimmery (just subtle enough for perfect everyday wear, or really focus on the highlight to up the glam factor and transition this into a lovely holiday look that is festive enough for any party!)
