My Simple Nighttime Skincare Routine (Step-by-Step)
At the end of a long day, I want my skincare routine to feel calming and soothing. And I also want it to work. That’s why I’ve created an effective nighttime ritual that helps my skin recover, renew, and stay healthy as I age.
Let’s walk through it, step-by-step, just like I do every night.
Step 1: Cleanse (Yes, even if you're tired)
Even if I didn’t wear makeup that day, I always wash my face at night. Think of it like brushing your teeth, non-negotiable. I use our Perfect Balance Cleansing Oil and Essential Mineral Gel Cleanser to remove sunscreen, oil, and the day’s buildup without stripping my skin. If I had makeup on, I double cleanse.
Step 2: Exfoliate (2–3 nights a week)
A few times a week, I follow cleansing with Radiance Reveal Leave On Exfoliant, our gentle leave-on exfoliant. It helps slough off dead skin cells, smooth texture, increase hydration and boost that glow. Bonus? It helps your serums absorb even better.
Step 3: Correct
Next up: treatments. I always apply Bright On Brightening Serum to help dark spots and pigmentation run for the hills, and Resveratrol Peptide Serum for firming and protecting my skin barrier. I want targeted treatments. This is where the real skin-renewing magic happens.
Step 4: Moisturize
Hydration is key at night when your skin is in repair mode. I apply either Butter Cream or Smooth & Plump; depending on how dry I feel, or if I want more or less actives (Smooth & Plum more, Butter Cream less), just what mature skin needs to wake up soft and supple.
Step 5: Big Boost – Retinol + Hyaluronic Cream
I layer Behave 1% Retinol Cream with Hyaluronic Acid every night, as it supports cell turnover and improves tone and texture. Hello collagen. I use it after moisturizer or sandwich it between layers if I want to buffer it.
I always use a non-hormone lash serum, morning and night, so my lashes continue to grow and are naturally lush.
These are the essentials for me.
