My Morning Skincare Routine

Let’s talk morning skincare.
I know it’s tempting to skip it, especially if you’re not heading out or planning to wear makeup. But hear me out: a simple, consistent morning routine makes all the difference in how your skin feels and how your makeup looks (when you do wear it). Think smoother foundation, fewer dry patches, and that healthy, cared-for glow.
Here’s exactly what I do each morning to keep my skin looking fresh, protected, and ready for the day, no stress, no overwhelm.
The truth is, your morning skincare routine sets the tone for the whole day — not just for how your skin looks, but how your makeup wears and how confident you feel when you catch your reflection midday.
Let me walk you through the simple steps I do every morning that help my skin feel nourished, protected, and ready for anything (yes, even those no-makeup days):
Step 1: Gentle Cleanse
Even if you cleansed the night before, your skin still needs a fresh start. I use a gentle, non-stripping cleanser, like our Crisp Cucumber Toner and/or our Essential Mineral Gel Cleanser, to wash away overnight oils and prep my skin without drying it out. I follow this with a misting of my Revive Facial Mist.
Step 2: Treat & Brighten
This is where your serums shine. Think: Super Stem C Serum to brighten, even tone, and give you that subtle glow — even before your makeup goes on.
Step 3: Hydrate & Protect
Moisturizer is a must, even if you’re oily. I go for my Smooth & Plump Cream to, you got it, smooth and pump my skin.
Step 4: (Don’t Skip This) Sunscreen
Yes, even if it’s cloudy. Even if you’re not leaving the house. Daily SPF is non-negotiable, especially if you’re serious about aging well. This is where AM Replenish comes in, followed by my Tinted Moisturizing Serum in Light Medium, and Ultra Zinc for your neck and chest area. Hands too!
I also use a non-hormone lash serum twice daily, and it has really helped my lash situation. I currently use and love The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash & Brow Serum.
