Everyday Facial Massage
LET'S TALK ABOUT FACIAL MASSAGE
This super easy massage technique you can easily add to your daily self-care ritual. You will see smoother, more vibrant skin with consistent use.
In this post, you'll learn about the benefits of incorporating a daily facial massage in your morning and/or night routines.
Benefits of Facial Massage
There are many benefits of doing a lymphatic drainage massage. This is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. Our lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues.
With consistent use, this simple facial massage technique:
- stimulates blood flow and circulation in your face;
- stimulates the lymph flow to remove waste and toxins from the body;
- helps reduce swelling and visible puffiness of the face;
- restores circulation to your fascia and smoothens the facial skin; and
- helps with pain in the neck and back of the neck.
How to do the Facial Massage
Here's the step-by-step tutorial on how I massage my face and neck area. I do this every morning and at night before going to sleep.
Apply oil to your face, neck, and décolleté area.
TIP: You can incorporate your facial massage when you apply cleansing oil or Calm Down Facial Oil in your daily skincare routine. Make sure to rub excess oil on the back of the neck as well.
- Take the two middle fingers at the inner corners of the eyes, right on top of the nose, and glide (do not pull!) under the eyes, moving towards the temples. You may linger on the temples and apply gentle pressure.
- Starting from tips of the bottom of nose, glide your fingers upwards to the temples.
- Place your fingers at the corners of the mouth and glide to the area right by the front of the ears.
- From the tip of chin, take your fingers to the side of the face, right at the front of the ear.
- Take your fingers from under the chin, gliding towards the front of the ears.
- Moving back up, massage your forehead and apply gentle pressure on the temple.
- Slide down your fingers at the front of the neck, and then move your fingers across the neck, with gentle pressure.
- Do the same for the back of the neck. Slide down, and then move from the center of the back of the neck towards the side.
- Lastly, put gentle pressure to where the collarbone is to allow the lymph flow freely.
And that's it!
Reminder to do it consistently, and you'll feel the full benefits of everyday facial massage!
