If you weren’t blessed with full, lush, long and dark lashes, or if you find that you’re losing your lashes as you get older (It happens) you want to try false eye lashes.
Let's walk through the steps, the tools you need and if you want a deeper tutorial, watch the video below.
Apply your eye makeup as normal - shadow and liner.
Curl and apply your mascara as normal.
Ready for falsies!
Gently remove false eye lashes from their case. They will be attached, so lift easy so you don't tweak them out of shape.
Trim the falsies if you find they are too long.
Apply a thin layer of glue to the rim of the false lashes.
Wait 30 seconds - you want the glue tacky not wet.
Position the lashes above your natural lash line, as close to your lash line as possible.
Avoid placing them too far out on the outer corner of your eyes - you don't want a droopy eye, you want an uplifted eye.
Avoid placing them too far on the inner corner close to the nose bridge. That just feels plain uncomfortable.
If they are not laid down as you like, you have some wiggle time before glue completely dries.
Bonus!
You can re-use your lashes. When you remove them, place them back into the original container for safe keeping. Bur first, remove excess glue by gently rolling it off between your fingers.
