The All Things Pink (Makeup) Post

A pink makeup tutorial to give you an updated, elegant, and grown-up version of our love for all things pink.

Every once in awhile we here at Simple Beauty Minerals just can’t resist indulging our girly side (what’s that? You too?), and today we are doing just that with this post full of all things PINK!

Although this oh-so-pink look definitely speaks to our inner girly-girl, I like to think of it as an updated, elegant, and grown-up version of our love for all things pink.

And, pink is hot right now!

“Millenial pink” is everywhere you look (think: that light, pastel pink that has developed something of a cult following in the past couple of years– and not just from “millenials” either, by the way!)– something I have been having a lot of fun enjoying– but really, the right pink is also a timeless classic. Lots of us have a favorite pink lipstick that never seems to go out of style, or perhaps a favorite pink dress or nail polish that always makes us feel extra special. So, here’s to all of our favorite pinks– and who knows, by the end of this post perhaps you’ll have a few new favorites to add to your list as well ;)

Step 1

First things first, here’s what you’ll need:

Step 2

Pink Eyes Begin with your eyes (after applying my Perfect Cover Foundation all over to give you a nice even canvas to start off with) and apply Pink-a-Boo all over your lid using the flat Eyeshading Brush, and then add a tiny bit of Pink-a-Boo onto the inner corners of your eyes using your ring finger to apply just a touch of it. Next, move onto your crease and apply Princess using the Crease Brush, and then blend Princess into your crease using the Mini Fluff Brush to soften up any lines and create a pretty gradient effect. Last but not least, add Bliss onto your brow bone and blend that again with your Mini Fluff Brush.

Step 3

Next, Pink Cheeks! Apply Ballet Slipper (a beautiful light pink & shimmery mineral blush!) using the Perfect Blush Brush, beginning at the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards towards your temples.

Step 4

Pink Lips To finish off your look, apply a few swipes of Fairy Floss Lip Shimmer to build up the beautiful shimmery pink color, and then add on a layer of my Perfection Lip Gloss for extra shine (and that delicious strawberry scent, perfect for finishing off a pink look!).

To complete your look, add your favorite pink accessories– darling pink vintage handbags, pink scarves or head bands, or pink sunglasses are just a few fabulous ideas! ;)
