Pucker Up! Two Cheek and Lip Pairings

Two different glosses. Two different cheek colors. Two different cheek and lip pairings. Two different looks!

Featuring Organic Lip Gloss Shiny Penny and Peachcicle Today, we’re going back to basics and bringing you two simple, easy looks featuring two of our Simple Beauty Minerals Organic Lip Glosses!

Summer Lips

Summertime or winter resort vacation time, is the perfect season to break out the lip gloss, because sometimes it’s just too hot and sticky to a full face of makeup, but lip gloss is a great way to stay polished and put together without wearing a ton of makeup. It goes on super easy and light, and with Simple Beauty Minerals glosses there’s no need to worry about things sticking everywhere or being too heavy on your lips since our glosses skip the stick and are smooth and velvety on your lips. What’s not to love?

The glosses I picked out to compare here are Peachcicle Mineral Organic Lip Gloss and Shiny Penny Mineral Organic Lip Gloss. Both Peachcicle and Shiny Penny are warm toned lip colors. Peachcicle is a super light, shimmery, peachy color while Shiny Penny is a slightly more dramatic sheer red-toned gloss (with a hint of sparkle mixed in there, too!).

Get the Look

Before we start, you’ll need your Perfect Blush Brush(I used this for my cheek colors), Mini Fluff Brush (I used this for my crease colors) , and Eyeshading Brush (I used this for foiling).

Peachcicle and Sunset

For the first cheek and lip pairing, I grabbed Peachcicle, Sunset Blush, and Golden Taupe Mineral Eye Shadow. I kept things super simple, and just swept Sunset over the apples of my cheeks and up towards my temple, and then worked a little bit over top of Golden Taupe in my eyelid crease (which I foiled all over my lid for this look). Last but not least, I finished off with a coat of Peachcicle all over my lips– and voíla! All done.

Shiny Penny and Sumptuous

For the second look, I used the other side of my face (so you can compare!) and picked out Shiny Penny, Sumptuous Blush, and Golden Taupe again. I foiled Golden Taupe all over my lid (just like in the first look!) and then added a touch of Sumptuous Blush in my eyelid crease (using my Mini Fluff Brush!) before applying it on the apple of my cheek and working it upward towards my temple. Last but not least, I added a coat of Shiny Penny on my lips– and there you have it! The second look.

Pretty and Pulled Together

I love how simple these looks are– they are so quick and yet give you such a pretty and pulled together look. Using lip gloss on lighter days is just so perfect for Summery weather, and I love trying out new ways to pair them in my makeup looks. To see how I styled another one of my favorite Simple Beauty Minerals glosses, you can check out this look I did with Mauveleous (one of my favorites!). Or, better yet,  why not style up a new look of your own? :)
